Meandering
through Celebrate Virginia is the Rappahannock River, one of America’s
most historic and scenic rivers. The concept for Celebrate Virginia’s
Eco-Adventure Resort was developed to protect the natural habitat
and unspoiled beauty of the Rappahannock River while providing year-round outdoor
activities at this unique riverside destination location.
In addition to the adjacent
National Slavery Museum, Celebrate Virginia will include an outdoor
amphitheater and other cultural and educational facilities.
- The Eco-Adventure Resort will offer small conference-hosting capabilities, canoeing, kayaking, rafting,
rock climbing, scuba, tubing, mountain biking, nature education courses, safety
course, nature exploration trails and a fly fishing school along
the Rappahannock River.
- Additional year-round regional activities will provide the "Best of Virginia" active and nature vacation experiences. Private "Yurt Suite" luxury accommodations perfect for singles, couples, families, corporate retreats and group vacations up to 175 guests!
- A Gondola Aerial Tram Ride, the least intrusive and most environmentally
friendly mode of transportation across the Rappahannock River,
will provide breathtaking views while transporting corporate users,
clients, golfers and tourists to and from the Tourism Campus Eco-Adventure and Golf Resorts in a unique and memorable mode.
- If visiting a world-known historical district is what brings you to the Fredericksburg Region, you can access historic downtown Fredericksburg via the new Cowan Boulevard Bridge which spans Interstate 95 to the East. The bridge connects you to US Route 1, Mary Washington University, Mary Washington Hospital, and Historic Fredericksburg's famed "downtown area". Once there, you may enjoy numerous antique stores, artist's galleries, museums, historical sites, and self-guided, horse carriage and trolley tours.
- Stafford County is home to many tourism attractions as well, including Ferry Farm- George Washington's boyhood home, wineries, golf courses, parks and river activities.
- Neighboring Spotsylvania County offers several Civil War battlefields, wineries, national parks, golf courses, and outdoor family activites at Belvedere Plantation and Lake Anna.
